Aunt Mary, Son Sean

This has been an exciting couple of weeks. Aunt Mary came for a visit and we got so much done. Including birth announcements and reorganizing the kitchen. She also celebrated her 24th birthday while here. Sean's present was to sleep through birthday dinner, it was very nice of him! He grew so much while she was here.

This one is from the day she got here.

And this is the day before she left. We are really going to miss her.

Mark has been singing the song "You are my Sunshine" to Sean since he was born. He'll sing it while changing his diaper or getting him to sleep. He was so excited to share his revision of the song with me. He changed sunshine to son Sean and laughed every time he sang it. He is a good daddy! (Sorry, no singing in the video.)

Swinging

Our good friend Ana gave us this swing and Sean has loved it! He seems to enjoy listening to the same songs over and over again. Mark would like everyone to know that Sean has also found favor with DMB (Dave Matthews Band.) The days have been pretty full of eating, sleeping, changing diapers and doing it all over again. Enjoy the video!

Every day I take pictures with my phone and send them to Mark at work. These are just a few.

Boomka

Mark had a dream last night that he was walking with Sean on a stone path. In his dream he was saying "Ka-Boom! Ka-Boom!" each time they stepped on a stone. Sean turned to him and said, "Daddy, my name's not Boomka." So now Sean has the nickname Boomka. We have enjoyed every facial expression, small sigh and even the big cries he has made over the last two weeks.

The Best Week of our Lives!

Sean was born on April 5. He weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz. and was 21 1/2 inches long. I labored for 13 hours then pushed for 2 1/2, but it was all worth it when they put him on my tummy. Despite the sleepless nights we have enjoyed the new addition to our family.

39 Weeks...Are We Ready?

Ok, so I am not waiting for Mark to do his part on the blog anymore. I suppose that I could do it for him, but I just don't think I would do it justice. He's so busy right now. My advise to anyone who is about to have a baby...don't let your husband start a new intense job at 38 1/2 weeks!

Are we ready...?

Everyone keeps asking us that and I'm not quite sure how to answer. I always say, "We have all the stuff, but can anyone really be ready?" So here's what I consider ready. I have my calling taken care of, I just finished my work responsibilities yesterday, my aunt is ready for the call to meet me at the hospital and my mom has her sky miles ready to use. I have the list of people to call, my bag is almost completely packed for the hospital, all the things I will need first thing are washed and put away... and I have asked Mark to please forgive me if I become a nutcase! Does that cover it? I hope so. It's hard to believe that it could be today or in three weeks. Life would be much easier if baby would just set a firm date on his arrival! :)

That's all for now, I'll try to post more regularly now that work isn't interfering with other more important things like blogging!
